Prior to practicing law, Neal was an economic analyst for the Institute for International Economics and later for Barclays Bank in Washington, D.C. He also interned for the Hawaii Supreme Court, performed a corporate form tax analysis for a small Tacoma business, mediated disputes in small claims court, and authored a comment in the Washington School of Law Pacific Rim Law and Policy Journal on Singapore’s e-commerce tax policy. He was admitted to the Washington State Bar and joined Vandeberg, Johnson & Gandara in 2003.
