Practice Areas

Ms. DeLange advises businesses in legal business matters ranging from business start-ups and operations to dissolution, including mergers and acquisitions, securities, franchising, contracts, commercial transactions, risk management, employment matters, business organizations, and corporate governance.

Education

Ms. DeLange received her JD from Seattle University School of Law (cum laude) after earning her undergraduate degree in finance from Idaho State University with distinction in 1992. She also received the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award for the College of Business in 1992.

Career 

She began her legal career with the Washington Dept. of Financial Institutions. She has been in private practice since 2000. Ms. DeLange has also taught Business Law courses at the Milgard School of Business for the University of Washington Tacoma and Pacific Lutheran University. 

Community Involvement

Ms. DeLange has served on the University of Washington Tacoma Milgard School of Business Executive Council since 2017. She served on the Executive Committee of the WSBA Business Law Section from 2006-2013 (chair, 2011-2012). She was also a Co-President of the Pierce County Washington Women Lawyers. Ms. DeLange served on the Board of Directors for the World Trade Center Tacoma for more than 10 years (chair, 2009-2010) and on the Board of Directors for Chambers Creek Foundation for 5 years.

Awards

Ms. DeLange received a “40 Under 40” Award in 2006, the Securities Division Enforcement Employee of the Year in 2000, the Governor’s Quality Award, and the Dept. of Financial Institutions Director’s Quality Award in 1999.
